First group of Moroccan pilgrims arrives in Medinah

The first group of Moroccan pilgrims arrived Tuesday morning in Medinah, Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj for this Hijri year, reported MAP.

"A total of 3 flights arrived on Tuesday from the cities of Rabat and Casablanca to the Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina, with about 667 pilgrims on board," added the same source.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's data, the total number of pilgrims arriving in Medinah until Monday reached 172,562 pilgrims of several nationalities, who came by air or land to perform Hajj during this Hijri year.

As of yesterday, a total of 156,828 pilgrims arrived at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medinah.

Regarding Moroccans, only 45% of the normal quota will be allowed to perform pilgrimage this year, the equivalent of 15,392 Hajj performers, including 10,186 under the supervision of the ministry, and 5,206 under the supervision of travel agencies.
