The Algerian newspaper Echourouk, known for being the mouthpiece of the "generals" regime, continues to spread lies and absurdities disconnected from reality, while propagating rumors that provoke astonishment and ridicule.
The latest of these false reports concerns an alleged "inability of Morocco to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations," published just 24 hours after FIFA officially announced Morocco's honor of hosting the 2030 World Cup, in addition to the CAN.
Several Algerian influencers reacted to this article, particularly highlighting the controversy surrounding the Tizi Ouzou stadium, where major defects were identified in the roof, as well as in other sports infrastructures.
They questioned why the newspaper remains silent about these glaring issues in Algeria's sports facilities while continuing to publish falsehoods about Morocco.
Other voices called on Echourouk to consider the massive support Morocco receives from FIFA and major international media, which consistently praise the kingdom's exceptional organizational capabilities.
They also reminded that several African teams, lacking proper stadiums to play their home matches, choose to settle in Morocco, further highlighting the country's ability to host major competitions.
This Algerian newspaper, accustomed to spreading misleading information, once again sparked a wave of sarcasm on social media, including from Algerian citizens, following the publication of this new false story.
While the entire world praises Morocco as a key player in the development of international football, particularly after securing the organization of the 2030 World Cup, Echourouk persists in spreading unfounded allegations, seemingly following the directives of an agenda imposed by the Algerian military regime.
