Strong explosions hit the city of Mohammedia this Thursday evening due to the outbreak of a fire described as dangerous in a gas reserve at the city's entrance near the port.
It is not yet clear if any human casualties have been recorded.
The accident started with a sudden gas leak, before the escaped gas formed large flames rising into the sky, according to Hespress sources.
As the security and civil protection authorities mobilized their staff to control the fire, explosions started and the fire doubled in the area.
So far, local authorities are trying to control the flames and monitor the situation, according to the same source.
